Self Pick-up Instructions for Brooklyn

1. Enter via 750 Pacific Street entrance

2. Take the elevator to floor “G”

3. Walk past Hertz and down the ramp

4. Check in

Return instructions

1. Head to the iPark Entrance at 585 Dean St, Brooklyn, NY 11238

Look for the red PARK sign at the building entrance.

2. Enter the garage

Drive into the garage where you’ll see iPark - Please Pull Ahead signs above.

3. Follow signs for "Kyte & Hertz Returns"

Proceed slowly down the ramp. Look for the Kyte & Hertz Returns sign.

4. Continue to the Lower Level

You’ll pass a sign labeled Kyte with an arrow pointing down. Follow the ramp to the lower level.

5. Park in the Kyte reserved area

Once you’re on the lower level, look for Kyte signs to find the reserved parking spaces. After parking, head toward the nearby Kyte Check-In area—you’ll see a large poster with a QR code next to a green bench.

6. Check in

Scan the QR code to check in via the app. If you need to download the app, you can use our complimentary Wi-Fi.

How Self Pick-up Works

Check-in via the Kyte app

You'll need the Kyte app to check in when you arrive at our lot. The app also lets you add additional drivers, manage your trip details, and handle other booking needs.

Important: Before you can pick up your car, you must complete account verification and have a deposit method on file. If you booked through Expedia or another partner site, you'll still need to:

Pick-up timing and flexibility

  • Your pick-up window: You have 2 hours after your scheduled start time to collect your car.

  • Need to arrive early or late? You can adjust your start time through the Kyte app, but you must make changes at least 2 hours before your original scheduled time.

  • Late pick-up fee: If you arrive more than 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time, a $25 late fee will be added to your booking.

What happens when you arrive

When you get to the lot, here's what to expect:

  1. Vehicle inspection: Your Kyte Surfer will take photos of your car to document its condition

  2. ID verification: We'll verify your driver's license matches your booking

  3. Sign and go: Once you sign the rental agreement, you'll receive your keys and you're ready to drive

Returning your car

  • Lot hours: Our lot operates from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

  • Return window: You have 2 hours after your scheduled return time to drop off your car, as long as you arrive before 10:00 PM.

  • After-hours returns: If you arrive after 10:00 PM, we cannot process your return that day. You'll need to return the car the following day during lot hours, which may result in an additional day's rental charge.
