1. Arriving at Harrison Street
Enter the garage entrance on Harrison Street.
Look for the Icon 24 Hr Parking signage as shown in the image below.
Important: Please note there are two Icon parking garages on Harrison Street - make sure you're at 35 Harrison Street, not 40 Harrison Street, which is located across the street.
Landmark reference: The entrance is located near the bus stop.
Directional reference: If you can see the Hudson River in front of you, the garage you need is on the left side.
2. Finding the Kyte Check-in Area
Once inside the garage, locate the check-in booth.
The pickup check-in booth is positioned on a podium by the entrance on the right side.
3. Check in
Scan the QR code at the check-in booth using your phone’s camera. This opens the Kyte app and alerts us you've arrived.
After checking in, we'll come to the front and walk you to your vehicle.
Return instructions
Return to Icon 24 Hr Parking garage on 35 Harrison Street.
Proceed into the garage and look for the black booth on the right.
Scan the QR code to check in for your return.
A Kyte staff member will meet you to collect the keys and complete your return.
How Self Pick-up Works
Check-in via the Kyte app
You'll need the Kyte app to check in when you arrive at our lot. The app also lets you add additional drivers, manage your trip details, and handle other booking needs.

Important: Before you can pick up your car, you must complete account verification and have a deposit method on file. If you booked through Expedia or another partner site, you'll still need to:
Log into the Kyte app
Complete account verification requirements
Add a payment method for the required deposit
Pick-up timing and flexibility
Your pick-up window: You have 2 hours after your scheduled start time to collect your car.
Need to arrive early or late? You can adjust your start time through the Kyte app, but you must make changes at least 2 hours before your original scheduled time.
Late pick-up fee: If you arrive more than 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time, a $25 late fee will be added to your booking.
What happens when you arrive
When you get to the lot, here's what to expect:
Vehicle inspection: Your Kyte Surfer will take photos of your car to document its condition
ID verification: We'll verify your driver's license matches your booking
Sign and go: Once you sign the rental agreement, you'll receive your keys and you're ready to drive
Returning your car
Lot hours: Our lot operates from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
Return window: You have 2 hours after your scheduled return time to drop off your car, as long as you arrive before 10:00 PM.
After-hours returns: If you arrive after 10:00 PM, we cannot process your return that day. You'll need to return the car the following day during lot hours, which may result in an additional day's rental charge.
Congestion Fee Information
Why is there a congestion fee when returning my vehicle to the lot?
Our lot is located in a congestion zone, meaning local regulations require a congestion fee when entering the area. This fee applies when returning your vehicle to the lot and is not set or controlled by us.
If you'd like to avoid this fee, you may consider a Surfer return, where a Surfer picks up the vehicle from your location. While this option comes with a separate return fee, it may be a more convenient alternative to driving into the congestion zone.
