What is the Service Fee?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Kyte charges a Service Fee to cover a range of operational costs, such as:

  • State license fees

  • Lot expenses

How does it work?

The Service Fee is calculated during checkout and varies dynamically depending on several factors, including the length of the rental and the type of vehicle. When you make a new booking, you will see this amount clearly listed in the price breakdown at checkout. If you extend your trip, the Service Fee will be included in your extension charges and will be visible in the price breakdown.

Why is there a Service Fee?

This fee allows us to maintain our operations and ensure a smooth rental experience for you while maintaining our commitment to transparent pricing. It helps cover the necessary costs associated with running our business and providing you with convenient services. Please note, the Service Fee is non-refundable if you shorten your trip because it covers operational costs that are incurred regardless of the length of your rental.

What happens if I extend my trip?

For trip extensions, an additional platform fee will be charged to account for the extra processing, support, and operational work required to accommodate your extended booking. This additional fee will be clearly listed in your price breakdown when you extend your rental.
