Accidents happen, and Kyte understands that they can be stressful situations. Here's what you can expect regarding your deposit if you're involved in an accident:

Changes to Your Deposit:

  • From Hold to Charge: In the event of an accident, your initial deposit hold will be converted into an actual charge on your card. This is done to facilitate the processing of any potential damage claim.

How Your Deposit is Used:

  • Covering Repair Costs: Your deposit will be applied towards any repair costs incurred due to the accident. If the repair costs are less than your deposit, the difference will be refunded back to you.

If Another Driver Is Involved:

  • Third-Party Claims: If another party was involved and is responsible for the accident, we'll work with their insurance to cover the costs. In this case, your deposit (or deductible) will only be refunded after we receive full reimbursement from the other party's insurance. This process may take some time.

We understand this can be a stressful situation. Please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team for any questions or assistance you may need throughout the claims process. We are here to help!
