Kyte offers 24/7 roadside assistance through our partner, Nation Safe Drivers (NSD), regardless of whether you purchase our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). However, the extent of coverage for roadside services depends on whether you have Kyte's Roadside Assistance Coverage (RAC).

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

  • Covers damage to your Kyte car's body up to $30,000 per incident (after a $500 deductible).

  • Includes Roadside Assistance Coverage (RAC) for New York City and Brooklyn rentals.

  • Does not cover mechanical issues due to misuse.

Roadside Assistance Coverage (RAC)

  • Available as an add-on or included with CDW in NYC and Brooklyn.

  • Covers service costs for:

    • Fluid/Liquid Delivery

    • Jump Start Service

    • Lockout Services

    • Tire Replacement (with your spare tire)

    • Towing Service

  • Does not cover the cost of materials (e.g., fluids, parts, tires, glass).

How do I get roadside assistance?

  1. Open the Kyte App: Launch the app on your phone (available on iOS or Android).

  2. Tap "Trips": This will show your current and past rentals.

  3. Select Your Ongoing Trip: Tap the trip you're currently on.

  4. Scroll to "Coverage": Find the "Coverage" section on your trip details page.

  5. Tap "Call Roadside Assistance": A green button will appear – tap it to connect with our roadside assistance provider.

Be ready to provide your vehicle identification number (VIN). Here's your VIN for your reference: [Insert VIN here] I have also attached a copy of your rental agreement. Lastly, your member number is the last 8 digits of the VIN.

NSD typically responds within 1-2 hours, or you can choose your own provider if preferred.
