Can I return my Kyte earlier than planned?

Need to return your Kyte rental car sooner than expected? You absolutely can! Simply modify your reservation at least 2 hours in advance to give us time to prepare.

How do I update my return time?

  1. Sign In: Log into your Kyte account on the Kyte app (available on iOS or Android) or website.

  2. Go to "Trips": Find the trip you want to modify.

  3. Tap "Edit": This is located in the "Where & When" section of your trip details.

  4. Update Return Time: Adjust the return time and date to your desired time.

  5. Confirm & Pay: Tap the green "Confirm & Pay" button to finalize your changes.

Do I get a refund for returning my Kyte car early?

Yes, you can receive a refund for complete unused rental days. However, partial days are not refundable and are charged at the full daily rate.

Examples:

Scenario 1: Refundable Early Return

If you book for 5 days but return after 3 complete days:

  • You will be refunded for two full unused days

  • The daily rate for the 3 used days remains unchanged

Scenario 2: Non-Refundable Early Return

If you book until 3:00 PM but return at 10:00 AM the same day:

  • No refund will be issued

  • The full daily rate applies for the partial day

You have the flexibility to choose how you'd like your refund:

  • Original Payment Method: Get a refund for the unused days credited back to the card or payment method you used to book your trip.

  • Kyte Credits: Receive a refund in the form of Kyte Credits, which you can apply towards future rentals or any fuel/toll charges.
